THIS IS A CALL OUT TO ALL BIKERS TO GET OUT AND VOTE ON NOVEMBER 4TH, 2008. OUR FUTURE DEPENDS ON YOUR VOTE AND WE HAVE LARGE NUMBERS FOLKS! OUR FREEDOMS ARE SLIPPING AWAY ALL THE TIME ALONG WITH THE CORRUPTION IN THE HOUSE AND CONGRESS. WE NEED A PUSH TO PUT A STOP TO IT AND IF ANYONE CAN DO IT IS US (BIKERS) THAT CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN! WE NEED TO VOTE THESE BASTARDS OUT OF OFFICE THIS TIME AROUND AND MAKE THAT STATEMENT THAT WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR CURRENT DECISIONS. JUST THINK OF HOW MUCH MONEY THIS IS GOING TO COST YOU AND HEY THAT IS A HARLEY YOU COULD BE RIDING! SO GET OUT AND VOTE THEM OUT!

SOCIAL NETWORKING

Social networking can help a business grow if you do it right. I started a social network for free on ning.com that has done pretty well. We have over two hundred members on it that enjoy the biker world. Since I engrave a lot of Maglites for car and bike clubs I thought it would be great to have a social site where I could display some of my work.

The social network has ended up being a great place to meet new people that have the interest that I do. This social site is a private site that many people have joined from friends and e-mail marketing. Along with the social site I have a website that is linked up to the social site to help promote the social site.

I also have a social site that is meant more for those people that enjoy the v-twin style of motorcycles and this site has just a few members on it. I will give some links to these social site so you can come and check them out to see if it is something you would like to do or even come and join ours.

It never hurts to find ways to get your products out to the public or for you to get your business name out to the people. I have had some of my work in ( IN THE WIND MAG.) in the scooter art section and that was all done for free by the editor of the mag. He liked my work so much that he wanted to do something special for me. I have had more response off my social site than I did from the mag.

I would say if you want to help your business along then start a social site and the best part is there is three major ones on the web you can do for free.

I found the best one for me is ning.com but I do have social sites with each of them. Social site do take some of your time but the rewards can be great if it is done right. Here is a list of the social networking sites that I have up and running so you an go and check out the layouts of each one to see what would be best for you.

THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A BIKER

I have been on motorcycles most of my life. When I was a kid the first vehicleI ever owned was a Honda Trail 90 I was 10 years old when this was bought for me by y step-father. I ran than poor bike into the ground. I had it until I was 15 years old when I bught my first true street bike. I found a real good deal on a used LTD 440 that needed some work. I fixed it up and then road it for a year then sold it for a profit and bought me a GSL 750 that was in good shape from the start with low miles. I road this bike every day for two years before I decided to buy my first Harley.

At this time I was 18 and just out of school with a some what good job. However, my job was about 70 miles one way to work and another 70 miles home each night. I decided I needed a little bit bigger bike to ride so at the time Harley had just came out with the new 883 sporster and had a killer deal on them which was (you can own one for $5000.00) so I bought one. I thought I was cool at the time and little did I know at that age. I had that bike only for a short time because it was one of the worstriding bikes I had ever been on. I then bought another bike a GSL 1000 now this was a fast bike and one of fastest bikes I had ever owned at this point and time in my life. I had this bike for two years and rode it every day and every where I went. I picked-up a lot of girls on this one.

As time went on I have bought and sold many bikes over the years and still ride and own one today which I ride most every day still. I am now in my 40′s and enjoy the comfort more than the speed these day’s!

My wife will ride with me on occasionsbut most of the time she would rather stay home and garden which is her main passion. I enjoy the fact that we have our own stress outlets. For me it is to ride and for her it is to pull weeds. I am glad that I found a women that understands my need to have an outside life other than just always being next to her. We both are independent people but yet we have a good relationship, too!
